Wild Edibles

Wild edibles are native plants that can be located in your own back yard or local parks! Wild edibles have a higher concentration of vitamins, minerals and trace nutrients than is found in their super-market and farmed counterparts. There is a wide variety of wild edibles in our area ranging from plants that make good salads, soups and spices to barriers and fruits that can be made into pies and jellies. There is great satisfaction that comes from finding and harvesting local plants. Knowing your local edibles will put you into a greater touch with the seasons and outdoor life and can be made into a very cherished time to share with family or friends and best of all it is free!
